Trebor Y asked:

Stock A has a beta of .80, Stock B has a beta of 1.40, and Stock C has a beta of -0.30. What is the rank of stock from most risky to least risky? If there is an anticipated major stock market decline, which stock should be added and why? If the return on the market portfolio increases by 12%, what change could be expected in the return for each of these stocks and why? If the return on the market portfolio declines by 5%, what change can be expected in the return for each of these stocks and why?

I hate stocks. How do i do this?

Investing in India from the US…?

investing
bantyran asked:

Hey..

I’m a US citizen (indian ethnicity though) and my parents are indian origin and also citizens. My question is that a friend here had money saved in india in a NRI account. He invested in mutual funds through the bank and returns were about 35% in just the first year, they had invested close to $60K.. that was pretty marvelous returns. But they invested through the bank there in india from the money he had in the account there.

My question is, i want to invest in india too Those are emerging and monstrous markets in every field. So how can i invest from here? Which brokerage will be able to invest directly into the Mutual funds and stocks of the indian market? I want to be offered the same funds as the banks in india offer. I’ve researched and i’m not finding any investment firm here that is big name and investing into india for investors… I want to be able to bring the money back into Dollar currency later. What about Taxes?

Any and all info is appreciated…thanks

Mutual Fund Screening: What is the best way to find the one for me?

Friday, April 4th, 2008
mutual fund
Kevin S asked:

I am getting started in the market soon (bit more research yet), and I want to kick it off with a mutual fund purchase. I need a screener that is free, but still has enough features to find what I need. Any sites or information is helpful. It must provide information for international funds (I plan on having my own diversified U.S. stocks, I don’t need to waste my time getting more only to pay fees on them). This includes emerging markets, regionals, globals, etc. Thanks!
