401k
Gak asked:

We are an Indian couple that want to move back to Inda in 8 years. How can we invest wisely? Can we benefit from investing in 401k if we move back in 8 years. Is there any other smart investing option that is not high risk (apart from stocks)?
Yes but will that yield any benefit in the next 8 years. Because rememeber we want to take all our savings from here and go back home.

Mutual Fund or CD?

Sunday, May 4th, 2008
mutual fund
ch3nzo23 asked:

I plan on investing about $2,000 in a mutual fund. I’d like to have this fund for a long time and compound the money I make (if any) back into the fund. I know this will take some time. So, should I invest in a large-value, or small-growth fund?
Or should I put the money in a one or five year CD? I guess my question is, “Is it a safe time for average guys like me to invest in the stock market through mutual funds?”

mutual fund
petefeng asked:

A lot people say it better to buy a mutual fund with certain star rating. I wonder if those existing fund for a long time already earn enough and no room for them to grow. So, should I buy a new fund or a fund existing for a long time with good rating??
